This idler pulley is found on the lower right side of the engine, below the belt tensioner.
The pulley was originally made from plastic. After some time, the plastic pulley would become deformed, causing excessive noise or chirping from contact with the serpentine belt. Land Rover began to replace the plastic pulley with a heavy-duty metal unit like this.
Fits the following Land Rover vehicle applications:
-Discovery II (1999-2004)
-Range Rover P38 (1999.5-2002)
